I was commissioned to incorporate a clean graphic of a tentacle into this feature of a skate park designed by legendary skate park designers Team Pain. I had five days in 100 degree heat in this concrete bowl and I had to make it happen on the spot. Using shelf lining paper and white chalk pencils I drew the design then meticulously cleaned the bowl and redrew the design. I lined the whole bowl in clear shelf paper I could see my line through and cut the design out by hand like a large stencil then sponged the acid on over it when it was done. I had a professional concrete finisher to consult with and to assist in the application.
